Mr. Jones recently joined Venture Strategy Law Group and counsels emerging companies in a wide range of business and corporate transactions. When representing clients he routinely draws from both his top tier technology investment banking experience and internationally focused business background. This enables Mr. Jones to identify for his clients unique business opportunities in addition to offering his legal expertise.

Previously, Mr. Jones was an associate equity analyst at J.P. Morgan covering the semiconductor sector. The J.P. Morgan Semiconductor equity research team was ranked #1 on Wall Street each year of his tenure at J.P. Morgan. Prior to 2007, Mr. Jones spent six years with Intel Corporation as a business development manager and previously as a finance manager. During his tenure at Intel, Mr. Jones led numerous deal teams in acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures as well as cross border transactions and licensing of intellectual property. Mr. Jones has extensive work experience in overseas markets, including China, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

Consequently, Mr. Jones understands the importance of an attorney as a partner in achieving business goals and seamlessly integrates business acumen with legal expertise. This enables Venture Strategy Law Group to represent emerging companies in a manner that larger law firms are not able to match.

Mr. Jones holds a Juris Doctor from the Santa Clara University School of Law. Mr. Jones also completed international law programs through Santa Clara University with Kookmin University and Seoul National University in Seoul, Hong Kong University, and Jiao Tong University of Shanghai. Mr. Jones completed his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Arkansas. Scott has a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Business Administration from Centenary College of Louisiana.



During his time away from work, Mr. Jones enjoys traveling to Europe and Asia and is an avid sports fan, participating in the San Jose Men's Amateur Baseball League, and is the current president of the University of Arkansas Alumni Association for the Bay Area. Mr. Jones also volunteers with several legal outreach organizations such as Coalition of Concerned Legal Professionals and APIA Legal Outreach.
